Set back to PCB, Asia cup will not be held in Pakistan

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has suffered a major setback. Actually, the hosting of the 2023 Asia Cup has been snatched from Pakistan, said Jay Shah, Secretary, Cricket Board of India (BCCI). 

According to the earlier schedule, the 2023 Asia Cup was to be held in Pakistan, but the BCCI had refused to go there.

BCCI Secretary and Asian Cricket Council Chief Jay Shah has made it clear in the 91st Annual General Meeting (AGM) that Team India will not tour Pakistan. Jay Shah said that the Asia Cup 2023 will be played at a neutral venue. The Indian government decides on allowing our team to go to Pakistan. We will not comment on this. For the 2023 Asia Cup, it has been decided that the tournament will be held at a neutral venue.

Meanwhile, the Asia Cup 2023 will be played in ODI format.
