Sukhbir Badal slams AAP over firing incident at NRI’s wedding in Amritsar by liquor contractors

SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Wednesday met NRI family and condemned shooting incident at their wedding event by liquor vendors in Amritsar a few days back. 

Sharing a video of interacting with family, Badal wrote on his Facebook page that on the night of November 4, it is very unfortunate that an NRI family (Randhawa family) in the city was brutally attacked by an armed miscreants supported by liquor contractor at a marriage palace in Amritsar and then the police registered a case against the victim’s family. 

Badal along with the local leadership visited the house of Kanwardeep Singh Randhawa (Canada Citizen) and his sister Jaskiran Kaur (USA Citizen) and assured them of not only supporting them against this excesses by the government but also appealed to the top police officials on the spot and urged them to save Punjab from being defamed in the country and abroad by doing the necessary correction regarding this injustice and oppression meted out to the family.  He also attacked ruling AAP government for alleged deteriorating law and order in the state and said the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has failed to rein the rising crime rate as he is busy in campaigning for the party in Gujarat.
