Four Punjabi ministers inducted into Canada’s British Columbia cabinet

Ottawa: Four ministers of Punjabi origin have been given a place in the new cabinet of British Columbia, Canada. As many as 27 ministers have been inducted into the David cabinet, including 15 women, including Jagrup Brar, Harry Bains, Ravi Kahlon and Rachna Singh. Similarly, Nikki Sharma of Punjabi origin has been made the Attorney General.

Jagrup Singh Brar, a resident of Village Dion in Bathinda district, has been made the Commerce Minister. Brar first became an MLA in the October 2004 by-election.
Similarly, Rachna Singh has been made education and child care, Harry Bains has been made labour and Ravi Kahlon has been made housing and government house leader. 
Similarly, Ravi Kahlon was a minister in the past and has also served as parliamentary secretary. Harry Bains has also been a minister in the past. These Punjabis took oath as ministers at the Governor’s House in Victoria.
