After Tarn Taran RPG attack, Punjab Police to increase surveillance around police stations, govt buildings

www.punjabenews.com: After RPG attack on intelligence headquarters and police station of the Punjab Police in Tarn Taran, the Punjab Police is going to install vigil cameras across all police station in the state.

However, most of the police stations already had CCTV cameras in the premises as per the directions of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. But now police stations buildings will ne covered from outside as well.  
Officials said that the Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav ordered to cover 400 police stations across the state as well as offices and other buildings of police officers at all levels with surveillance cameras and also ensure live recording of the cameras.
