High Court reprimands government, directs to open all toll plaza in Punjab

Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday heard the issue of farmers’ sit-in at 13 toll plazas in Punjab. During this hearing, the court has directed to reopen the toll plazas.

At the same time, the High Court directed the Chief Secretary of Punjab and DGP to comply with the directions of the Supreme Court.
A petition was filed in the high court by NAHI seeking removal of the morchas put up by these farmers at toll plazas as it was causing a loss of about Rs 1.5 crore per day.
