Four students detained as security forces deployed after BBC documentary screening announced JMIU

New Delhi: After screening at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), preparations are now underway to show the controversial BBC documentary at Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMIU).

The National Students Union of India (NSUI) has released a poster on Wednesday and invited all students to watch the documentary at 6 pm. Since then, the administration has come into action.
Several personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Rapid Action Force (RAF) and Delhi Police have been deployed outside the university. It is being told that the Delhi Police reached the spot and detained four students from outside the university’s gate number 8.
Not only this, there is a strict ban on anyone staying and standing outside the university. The administration is keeping a close watch on the whole matter. All preparations have been made to ensure that there is no ruckus like JNU in Jamia.
