Governor honours DBA Secretary Ritin Khanna

Punjabenews: Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit has honoured DBA Secretary and former national player Ritin Khanna at the state-level Republic Day function held at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium. Governor felicitated Ritin Khanna for his immense contribution for the upliftment of the game of Badminton.

It is worth-mentioning that some of the important works done by Ritin Khanna for the upliftment of Badminton include starting Olympian Dipankar Academy, installation of 5 new synthetic, opening of a new physiotherapy centre and installation of a new Generator Set etc at the Raizada Hansraj Stadium.

Apart from this, due to the sheer efforts of Ritin Khanna, a big badminton tournament was organized in Jalandhar. Besides that Raizada Hansraj Stadium also achieved the distinction of being the first such stadium in the country, which opened during the Corona period, while following all the prescribed guidelines.

It is also noteworthy that the Prime Minister Office had chosen Raizada Hansraj Badminton Stadium, Jalandhar for the 81st edition of PM Shri Narendra Modi’s prestigious ‘Mann Ki Baat Programme’, which was indeed a great honour for everyone.

For the honour bestowed upon him by the Governor, while thanking his family, friends, well-wishers, players and coaches, Ritin Khanna said, “It was possible only because of the cooperation extended by all of them.”
