Section 144 imposed in Delhi University, several students detained over screening of documentary

Punjabenews: The controversy over the BBC documentary is increasing. After JNU, Jamia, now there is a ruckus in Delhi University (DU) about the screening of the documentary. There was a huge ruckus outside the Faculty of Arts in Delhi University on Friday (January 27). The Delhi Police first detained nsui students and members who were protesting. After this, the police also detained some members of the Bhim Army students’ union.

Section 144 has been imposed in the wake of NSUI-KSU’s call for screening of a BBC documentary on PM Modi in the faculty. The BBC documentary “India: The Modi Question” is based on the 2002 Gujarat riots when Narendra Modi was the chief minister of the state.
