Assistant Superintendent of Patiala Central Jail Kamaljit Singh suspended

Punjab News: Patiala Central Jail Assistant Superintendent Kamaljit Singh has been suspended by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav. Jagjit Singh Gullu, who is serving a 10-year jail term in the NDPS case in jail, alleged that Assistant Superintendent Kamaljit Singh had demanded a bribe from him.

Jagjit Singh Gullu had deposited Rs 12,500 in Kamaljit Singh’s account. The inmate had complained about this to the ADGP Jail.
According to sources, the matter was investigated by jail superintendent Manjit Singh Tiwana. On the basis of the report of the jail superintendent, assistant superintendent Kamaljit Singh has been suspended by the higher authorities.
