Heavy police deployment in Ajnala after Amritpal Singh announces a protest against police today

Chandigarh: After Amritpal Singh head of Waris Punjab De has threatened the Punjab Police of severe consequences for not releasing his arrested associates, a heavy police force has been deployed in the Ajnala on Thursday.

Amritpal yesterday said that if the case against him and his associates was not canceled, then it will be a big gathering in Ajnala on today against the police.
In view of this, strict security arrangements have been made by the police administration to prevent any untoward incident in Ajnala today.
According to sources, more than 600 police personnel have been deployed in Ajnala and barricades are being done at various places.
