Action will be taken after watching videos of Ajnala incident: DGP Yadav

Chandigarh: Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav has said that it is the constitutional right of every person to hold a sit-in in the Ajnala incident. He has said that the people were told to protest peacefully.

He has said that the police had been assured that the organisation would stop where it was stopped. Later, Amritpal and his accomplices attacked the police, the DGP said.
He has said that Sri Guru Granth Sahib was used as a shield. He has said that every human being respects Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The DGP says that it is the job of the cowardly people to attack under the guise of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. He says that the atmosphere of Punjab will not be allowed to deteriorate.
He said that the police officer and several employees were injured. He has said that legal action will be taken after seeing the statements and videos of the injured.
