Sarpanches & panches join AAP in Kartarpur constituency, Mandi Board Chairman welcomes incoming leader

Law & order situation to be maintained at all cost

Lambra (Jalandhar): Different political parties on Saturday suffered a big jolt as elected representatives of panchayats including sarpanches & panches joined Aam Aadmi Party in presence of Punjab Mandi Board’s Chairman Harchand Singh Barsat, MLA Balkar Singh and Warehousing Corporation’s Chairperson Rajwinder Kaur Thiara.

Chairman Harchand Singh Barsat, while welcoming the incoming sarpanches and panches, said that leaders of different political parties were joining Aam Aadmi Party as they were quite impressed with the pro-people policies and programme of Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The Chairman also pointed out that the State Government would ensure economic prosperity, overall development besides further strengthening communal harmony. He said the landmark decisions and initiatives being taken in the state would lead to put Punjab on high growth trajectory. Due to progressive decisions, the leaders of political parties are joining the Aam Aadmi Party, he added.

Accusing previous governments, the Chairman said that these ones looted the state with both hands by blatantly ignoring the interests of the common masses. He said earlier there were rampant corruption and fury of drugs across the state and now Punjab Government is tightening noose against these malpractices. He said that maintaining law & order was one of the another topmost properties and this would be maintained at all cost. The Chairman further pointed out that 85 percent families were getting ‘zero electricity bill’ besides getting quality healthcare services through Aam Aadmi Clinics.

The Chairman also lauded that the dedicating over 500 such clinics was a big achievement within a year. He said there might be some teething issues which would also be sorted out soon. The state Government is committed to ensure good governance to facilitate people for getting the benefits of requisite services. He also stated that recruitment drive would also benefit unemployed youth which is to be a continuous process.

MLA Balkar Singh said that the pro-people decisions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Government were being admired by Punjabis resulting in joining Aam Aadmi Party by leaders and workers of different political parties. The pro-development initiatives will prove another milestone in state’s holistic development in time to come, he added.

The Chairman accompanied by MLA Balkar Singh, Punjab Container & Warehousing Corporation’s Chairperson Rajwinder Kaur Thiara, Harpreet Kaur and others inducted sarpanches and panches to Aam Aadmi Party. These sarpanches and panches were from different panchayats namely Wadala, Malko, Lambra, Lallian Khurd, Nijjaran, Wariana, Badshahpur, Tajpur, Bhagwanpur, Rampur and Singhan.
