Punjab News: Amritpal Singh, the head of Waris Punjab De, has not been arrested by the Punjab Police yet, sources said.
According to the information received from the sources, Amritpal managed to escape before police could arrest him.
According to the information received, Police have launched search operation at Amritpal’s in-laws’s village Kolaran that falls in Shahkot assembly segment in Jalandhar district. Police officials claim Amritpal fled from a Gurudwara in Shahkot.
Meanwhile, 144 has been imposed in Sri Muktsar Sahib ji to maintain law and order situation in Punjab.
It is also reported that weapons have also been recovered from Amritpal’s six arrested associates during the arrest. For this, the Punjab Police had also put up barricades in many districts.
