Hoshiarpur police arrest NRI in Amritpal Singh’s case

Hoshiarpur News: The Hoshiarpur police have got a major breakthrough after the incident of Amritpal Singh escaping from village Marnaia in Hoshiarpur on March 28. Hoshiarpur police have arrested an NRI named Jaswinder Singh Pangli, a resident of Jagatpur Jattan village near Phagwara.

According to police sources, the man is being linked to the time after the incident of Amritpal Singh’s escape from Hoshiarpur, the first arrest made by Hoshiarpur police in the case of Amritpal Singh after his escape from village Marnaia.
It is also learnt that the police have detained several other persons in connection with the case and the police have got important clues about Amritpal Singh, in the coming days, the police can make big disclosures in this case.
It is also learnt that the entire incident is being linked to a bhog ceremony held at Jagatpur Jattan village and the police are constantly interrogating those who attended the event.
It may be recalled that around 8 pm on March 28, Amritpal Singh and his associate Papalpreet Singh had escaped from village Marnaia and the police have been continuously searching the area since the same day.
At the same time, CCTV cameras are also being examined and many suspects are also being interrogated, Jaswinder Singh’s arrest has been found in the FIR number 19 which was registered in connection with the absconding of Amritpal Singh at police station Mehtiana.
