Former Congress MLA Kushaldeep Dhillon sent to five-day police remand

Chandigarh: Former Faridkot MLA Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon was produced before the court of Duty Magistrate here today. The court remanded the former MLA to five-day police custody for interrogation. The VB told the court that Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon had spent Rs 7.97 crore more than his income in five years and had also created 42-kilo benami property in village Mumara.
     According to the application for remand by the Vigilance, the former MLA spent Rs 2.70 crore more than the amount mentioned on the farmhouse being constructed in New Chandigarh and Rs 1.64 crore has been transferred to kiki Dhillon’s account by his mother and Rs 96 lakh by his wife. During questioning, the former MLA did not give any explanation in this regard.
