Hearing in Court today: Punjab govt to file status report on Navjot Sidhu’s security cut from Z+ to Y+ cover

Chandigarh News: Punjab and Haryana High Court to hear plea of former Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu in case of pruning his security cover by the Punjab government.
In the hearing held six days ago, it was revealed that the Punjab government has not yet filed the status report. It cited lack of response from central agencies as the reason behind this.
After which the High Court ordered the state government to file a report by May 18.
During the last hearing, the state government had said to review Sidhu’s security. A few days ago, Sidhu had filed a case in Patiala alleging that his servant had spotted an unidentified person on the terrace. Sidhu had said that there was a threat to his life.
