Gone two months ago, 23-year-old student from Punjab dies in road accident in Canada

Chandigarh: Komalpreet Kaur, 23, a resident of ward number 8 here, died in a road accident in Brampton, Canada. She went to Canada two months ago for higher studies. Komalpreet Kaur was on her way to work with her friends at 6.46 a.m. Canadian time on Friday when four vehicles collided with each other on the way.
The accident was so severe that all the four vehicles were badly crushed. Komalpreet fell on the road when the window of her vehicle opened during the accident and she died. Another person in the second vehicle was further seriously injured in the accident. When the news of Komalpreet Kaur’s death reached her house, a mountain of sorrow broke on the family, because two and a half months ago Komalpreet’s father Jodha Singh had died due to cancer.
After their father’s bhog, Komalpreet and her brother Didar Singh went to Canada for studies. The family has appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the Central government to make arrangements to bring their daughter’s body home.
