CM Mann’s deadline to former CM Channi enda today: CM Mann to hold PC
Chandigarh: The deadline given by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi will end today afternoon. Mann and former chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi were given time till May 31 to discuss with their nephews and inform them that he had demanded Rs 2 crore from a sportsperson for a job.
The Chief Minister had said that if Channi himself did not tell me, then he would hold a conference at 2 pm on May 31 and will disclose about it. However, Channi went straight to Gurdwara Katalgarh Sahib after the chief minister’s allegations. He had given his explanation in front of Sri Guru Granth Sahib that he never asked for any money from anyone.
Former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi went to the Gurudwara to give his explanation, and the next day the Chief Minister again appeared in front of the media. He directly told the former CM that Channi should talk to his relatives and tell the truth to the people.
