Mohali News: The dates for the upcoming session of the 16th Vidhan Sabha are expected to be announced during a crucial meeting of the Punjab Cabinet, which will be chaired by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday. This meeting is scheduled to take place at 11:30 am in the Punjab Civil Secretariat. Additionally, during this meeting, the state government may address the dissatisfaction among employees regarding not receiving anything during Diwali, considering allocating some of the outstanding DA amount to them. For a considerable period, government employees have been pressing for resolution on the outstanding DA issue. Moreover, on Monday afternoon, the Cabinet Sub-Committee, led by Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, has invited representatives from four employee organizations to Chandigarh for discussions. The Punjab government is likely to announce the scheduling of a new session towards the end of November, which is anticipated to span at least four working days. One reason for this decision is the ongoing preparations for the municipal and municipal council elections scheduled in the state for January.
