Rajya Sabha passes Delhi Seva Bill with 131 votes in favour
New Delhi: The Delhi Service Bill has been passed by both houses of Parliament. After a long debate, discussion and reply from Home Minister Amit Shah in the Rajya Sabha on Monday, Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh voted on this bill through paper slip.
A total of 131 votes were cast in support of the Delhi Service Bill. While 102 votes were received in the opposition.
The Bill was passed by a voice vote in the Lok Sabha on August 3. Now after the signature of the President, this bill will become law.
During this, Home Minister Amit Shah said that the Delhi Service Bill is completely in accordance with the spirit of the Constitution.
