Parallel acting Jathedar of Akal Takht declares CM Bhagwant Mann ‘tankhaiya’
Punjab E News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has been declared a ‘tankhaiya’ (guilty of religious misconduct) by the parallel acting Jathedar of Akal Takht, Bhai Dhian Singh Mand, for allegedly interfering in the Sikh religion by amending the Sikh Gurdwara Act, 1925.
Talking to the media here today, Jathedar Mand said that it was unacceptable that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had paved the way for government intervention by convening a special session of the Vidhan Sabha, where some unnecessary clauses were added to the Gurdwara Act, 1925.
He said that Mann had also mocked the turban of the Sikhs, in which the Sri Akal Takht Sahib took notice of it and the Chief Minister of Punjab was held responsible for this and an explanation was sought.
He said that performing the duties of serving the parallel acting Jathedar of Akal Takht, he observed the working of the governmental or non-government conspiracies being hatched against the Panth at all times.
