Punjab Tourism Summit: Wonderla Group shows interest in Mohali, plans to invest Rs 500 crore
Mohali News: While Mohali is hosting the first Punjab Tourism Summit and Travel Mart to be held in Punjab from September 11 to 13, the renowned Wonderla Group has shown interest in setting up the project in Mohali.
The group is in the process of investing Rs 500 crore in the area. It wants to set up a theme park and water sports project in the area.
Apart from this, Club Mahindra is also looking for a suitable place. It is expected that this project will be completed in the coming days. Tourism Minister Anmol Gagan Mann said that the government is investor friendly. Good policies have been made. They will succeed in this project.
The state government is developing Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Ropar and Mohali as eco-tourism, water sports and adventure sports. The land has been marked for proper settlement of this area. The government has high expectations from all these areas, as Mohali is part of the Tricity and the International Airport is established in the city.
In such a situation, tourists can easily come and go. Apart from this, movement is easy in Hoshiarpur and Pathankot.
