Administration to run fortnight ‘Ayushman Bhava’ campaign to enhance healthcare accessibility and raise awareness
Drive to start from September 17 to October 2
Jalandhar News: In order to create awareness about health programs and ensure accessibility of healthcare facilities for the people, the administration along with health and family welfare department will run a fortnightly ‘Ayushman Bhava’ campaign in the district from September 17 to October 2, 2023.
Participating in a video conference, The Deputy Commissioner said that the campaign mainly comprised three components including Ayushman Apke Dwar, Ayushman Mela and Ayushman Sabha. He said that under the Ayushman Apke Dwar, families eligible for Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) will be registered. Health cards will be issued to these families under the scheme during the 15-day period. Ayushman Melas will also be organized in all health and wellness centres where all the poor, and middle-class people will be diagnosed and treated.
In Ayushman Sabha component on October 2, awareness activities at the village level about health, hygiene and nutrition will be organised. Awareness activities regarding non-communicable diseases (NCD) screening, immunisation, TB etc will also be carried out in the district,” Sarangal said. Besides, Swachhta Abhiyaan will be ensured in all health institutions besides blood donation camps and pledge for Organ Donation will also be taken.
Sarangal asked the Civil Surgeon Dr Raman Kumar Sharma and DMC Dr Jyoti to make elaborate arrangements for the activities to be held in the district under this fortnightly drive.
