India’s tallest flag to be hoisted at Attari border: 18-feet-high pole with Pakistani flag
Punjab News: Every Indian will soon be able to sing proudly at the Attari border in Amritsar, Punjab, that ‘keep the flag high’.
India has raised the height of the tricolor pole at the Attari border to 18 feet higher than neighboring Pakistan. At present, the height of the Indian tricolor pole was 360 feet, while the height of the pole of the Pakistan flag has been kept at 400 feet.
Now India’s 418 feet tall flag post in front of the Golden Gate is ready and awaiting inauguration. According to the information received, this inauguration was to take place in a few days, but due to some reasons it has been postponed. But soon the Indian tricolor will be seen flying on this 418 feet high flag post.
The flag post has been installed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) at a cost of Rs 3.5 crore. This flag post has been installed 100 meters away from the 360 feet high old flag post right in front of the Golden Gate.
A base 4 feet high from the ground has been built, on which this flag pillar has been erected. At the same time, the old flag post was built by the Amritsar Improvement Trust in 2017.
