Industrialists commend ‘Sarkar Sanatkar Milni’; Say first time witness such an interactive session for suggestions & feedback from industry
Also thanked Punjab Government for different development works in industrial areas of Jalandhar
Jalandhar: Lauding ‘Sarkar Sanatkar Milni’ organised by Punjab Government here on Thursday, the captains of local industries thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for holding such an interactive meetings across state to further promote the existing industry and industrial growth in the state.
The industrialists, who interacted with the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, mentioned that ‘Sarkar Sanatkar Milni’ was a platform for industry to express their views for holistic growth. Referring to the concerns raised by industrialists, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on the spot announced and directed the officers concerned to ensure adequate steps for fulfilling their demands.
Alfa Packaging Industry’s Manish Arora while thanking Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for addressing their long pending issues. He said the main road leading to industrial units in leather complex was in dilapidated condition, which was being constructed thus ensuring major relief for daily commuters and workers. He said there were nearly 350 electricity poles and installation of lights had also been started besides the tenders process for sewerage system had already been floated.
Thanking Punjab Government for hearing the industry patiently, Industrialist Gursharan Singh also brought to the notice of Chief Minister pending issues. Acceding to demands put forth by him, Bhagwant Singh Mann assured that a meeting of industrialists and officers concerned would be fixed shortly for amicable resolution of said issues.
Industrialist Narinder Singh Saggu and Gautam Kapoor also appreciated this endeavour of Punjab Government besides seeking that these meetings should be held regular after a gap of few months. Gautam Kapoor said that today’s meeting with industry was a first ever initiative in the last 43 years, which is highly appreciable. Savi International’s Mukul Verma sought a big chunk of land to further develop sports and hand tool industry in the district besides seeking rejuvenation of ESI hospital to cater healthcare needs of industry. Meanwhile, Gurcharan Singh expressed gratitude to the Government for hand holding of MSMEs, which would further boost these units.
Sukhjit Starch & Chemicals Senior Vuce President & CEO Bhavdeep Sardana lauded Punjab Government for shifting of building plan approval of the Industry back to the factories department which shortened the approval time and provided much needed relief to the Industry and also improved overall ease of doing business norms with 57 reforms. Industrialist Sharad Aggarwal, who is investing Rs. 200 crore in Handtools and auto components industry, also shared his plan for investment in the state. Sharing his experience in getting approvals promptly for setting up bio-gas plants, Gaurav Kaithwal thanked the State Government for pro-industry initiatives.
Chief Minister also assured the industry that Punjab Government was fully committed to take industry friendly decisions and initiatives in future too.
