District level ‘Price and Rent Fixation Committee’ fixes reserve price of residential/commercial properties of JIT
People will be able to buy property at reasonable rates in nine different colonies
Jalandhar News: In order to provide residential/commercial plots to the people at reasonable prices, the district level Price and Rent Fixation Committee on Wednesday fixed the reserve price of the residential and commercial properties of the Jalandhar Improvement Trust.
District Collector-cum-Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal, who is the chairman of this committee, said that the reserved rates were fixed every year for selling/auctioning the properties of improvement trust. Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Rishipal Singh was also present in the meeting.
The committee unanimously fixed the rates in the view of the market rates and collector rates of the respective areas keeping the objective of providing opportunities to the people to buy properties at suitable rates and increasing the revenue of the Punjab government.
The District Level ‘Price and Rent Fixation’ Committee was constituted under the Punjab Management and Transfer of Municipal Properties Act-2020 headed by Deputy Commissioner along with the representatives of Lok Sabha Member and MLA under the jurisdiction of the respective Municipal Corporations, Mayor or MC president, MC Commissioner and Executive Officer as members.
The rates of 9 residential and commercial schemes Jalandhar Improvement Trust were fixed for the year 2023-24.
The residential property rate of Rs 5.50 lakh per marla and the commercial property rate of Rs 11 lakh per marla were fixed mainly for 170 acres in Surya Enclave, 70.5 acres in Maharaja Ranjit Singh Avenue, 94.97 acres in Suriya Enclave Extension and 94.5 acres in Guru Gobind Singh Avenue.
The rate for residential plots in Master Gurbanta Singh Enclave on 13.96 acres fixed at Rs 3 lakh per marla and the commercial rate of 33 square yards of booths was fixed at Rs.8 lakh per booth.
The commercial rate of Rs 6 lakh per marla and Rs 4 lakh per marla was fixed for residential plots in Guru Amardas Nagar in 51.5 acres.
Besides that Rs 60000 per square yard rate was fixed in 3.71 acres of Major Raman Dada Commercial Complex.
On 74.03 acres in JP Nagar scheme, rate of residential plots fixed at Rs 7 lakh per marla and commercial rate of Rs 11 lakh per marla.
Similarly, a commercial price of Rs 7 lakh per marla was fixed for Bhagat Singh Colony for area of 26.8 acres.
Improvement Trust Executive Officer Paramjit Singh, Engineer Inderpal Singh, representatives of Lok Sabha Member and MLA and revenue officials were also present.
