Three gangsters arrested after encounter in Jalandhar

The Punjab Police have arrested three gangsters after a brief encounter at Manik Rai village on Adampur-Bhogpur road on Tuesday.

The operation lasted for about six hours 

The police have not disclosed the identity of the accused yet. 

Earlier, a heavy police were deployed in the area since 6am and police are searching gangsters hiding in the sugarcane fields. 

Police are using drones to trace accused. Further details are awaited.
