US city Sikh mayor and his family threatened to kill

The Sikh mayor of the city in the US state of New Jersey has said that he has received hate messages through email, threatening to kill him along with his family if he does not resign.
Ravi Bhalla, who is the first Sikh to be elected mayor of Hoboken City in November 2017, today sent the first message more than a year ago asking him to resign, while the second posed a threat to his life.
This third message has alarmed Mr. Bhalla and the family. It said this was the last warning to them.         If he does not resign immediately, the mayor and his wife and children will be murdered. Law enforcement agencies have provided round-the-clock security to Bhalla’s two children, aged 15 and 11.
