Preparations start for 8th Spark Mela, DC forms various Committees for smooth holding of event

Jalandhar News: The district administration on Monday started preparations for the eighth edition of the two-day Spark Mela set to be held on November 29-30 in Guru Gobind Singh Stadium to provide much-needed guidance to students for opting for the right career.

     Divulging more details, Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal said that various committees were formed for smooth holding of the Spark Mela. He said that the committees included organizing, career counselling, venue, mela, cultural, medical, stage, transport, food, sanitation, safety and security and others so that every effort can be made for the successful event.

      Sarangal said that Spark Mela was being held to give a platform to the young students for getting guidance direct from the experts including IAS or PCS officers, Armed Forces’ Officials, and others.

      He said that most of the students remain in a dilemma for choosing the right field in their lives and this event would certainly provide requisite support to them for choosing their career in a better manner. He also exhorted the educational institutions to give wholeheartedly support for the event.
