Jalandhar-Ludhiana highway blocked, Farmers open front against Punjab government to increase sugarcane rates
Jalandhar News: In Jalandhar, farmers have once again opened a front against the Punjab government.
On the call of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha, the farmers’ organizations have started a sit-in protest on the Jalandhar-Ludhiana highway demanding a hike in sugarcane rates and other demands.
In this regard, BKU Doaba state president Manjit Singh Rai has appealed to more and more farmers to join this sit-in.
The protest is being held near Dhanowali Gate, due to which the Jalandhar-Phagwara-Ludhiana main road has been closed.
