HEALTH MINISTER RELEASES TWO PIVOTAL REPORTS OF PUNJAB STATE AIDS CONTROL SOCIETY

Chandigarh: Marking a transformative chapter for Punjab under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh on Friday released two pivotal reports Punjab State AIDS Control Society (PSACS) including “The Annual Report 2022-23” and a report on “Leveraging Blockchain Technology to Enhance Exam Security & Prevent Question Paper Leaks”.

Dr Balbir Singh said that in its Annual Report 2022-23, PSACS has spotlighted its significant achievements in controlling HIV/AIDS. The report comprises of divisions including Basic Services, Blood Transfusion Services, Care, Support, and Treatment, Information, Education and Communication, Lab Services, Strategic Information, and Targeted Interventions, which made commendable contributions, he said.

The Health Minister said that the Punjab State AIDS Control Society has also introduced Edublock Pro, leveraging blockchain technology to fortify exam security and prevent question paper leaks in government recruitment exams.

“This groundbreaking solution aims to revolutionise government exam administration, ensuring transparency, integrity, and safeguarding public investments in the education system,” he said while adding that in future this technology will be implemented in other departments to ensure a transparent recruitment process.

He said that the Punjab State AIDS Control Society is committed to providing the latest solutions and programs for the betterment of society.

On the occasion, Special Secretary Health cum Project Director PSACS Dr Adapa Karthik, Managing Director Punjab Health Systems Corporations Varinder Sharma, Director Health Services Punjab Dr Adarshpal Kaur, Director Family Welfare Dr Hitinder Kaur and Additional Project Director PSACS Dr Bobby Gulati among the prominent, who were present.
