Punjab gives Rs 1 cr financial assistance to Shubhkaran Singh, promises govt job to his sister

Chandigarh: The Punjab government has given Rs 1 crore financial assistance to young farmer who died with alleged gun shot during protest at Khanauri border two days back.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann wrote in a tweet, “The Punjab government will provide financial assistance of Rs 1 crore to the family of youth Shubhkaran Singh, who was martyred during the farmers’ agitation at Khanauri border, and a government job to his younger sister. Appropriate legal action will be taken against the culprits. We are doing our duty.”
