Jail Superintendent arrested after smartphone, spy cam found in Khalistani sympathiser’s jail cell at Assam

New Delhi: In a significant news, Nipen Das, the superintendent of Dibrugarh jail in Assam where Amritpal Singh is incarcerated, has been arrested. The arrest stems from an FIR filed in connection with the discovery of mobile phones, spy cams, and other items from Amritpal Singh and his associates in jail a few days ago.

Amritpal Singh and his 11 associates are currently detained in Dibrugarh jail. The recovery of these items caused a stir when it occurred. Presently, Amritpal is engaged in a hunger strike.

The arrest of the superintendent is based on allegations of negligence. Waris Punjab De head Amritpal Singh and his companions were arrested on Friday for their alleged involvement. Sources indicate that the jail official was apprehended in the morning on charges of negligence and is presently undergoing questioning in Dibrugarh.

Ten of his associates, including Amritpal, are also detained in the same jail.
