Himachal CM Sukhu presents amazing example of human empathy, saved precious lives
Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu saved a precious life by presenting a wonderful example of human compassion.
The Chief Minister has given a new life to 70-year-old Dorje of Billing village of Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti district, who is critically ill, with the help of the Indian Air Force.
Due to heavy snowfall in the hill state at this time, more roads have been covered with a thick sheet of snow. In such a situation, traffic has come to a standstill.
Meanwhile, CM Sukhu received information that the Atal Tunnel is closed for traffic due to the possibility of falling of roads and icebergs closed due to heavy snowfall, due to which it is impossible to take Dorje to the nearest hospital by road for treatment due to health problems.
Dorje needed immediate specialist medical treatment and seeing this, Chief Minister Sukhu contacted the Indian Air Force and requested to airlift Dorje to the hospital.
On the request of the Chief Minister, the Air Force immediately airlifted Dorje and another patient from Stingri in an Air Force helicopter with the help of the district administration.
