SARKAR VYAPAAR MILNIS WILL GO A LONG IN PROPELLING ECONOMIC GROWTH IN STATE: SAYS CM

Hoshiarpur: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday envisioned that Sarkar Vyapaar milnis will act as a catalyst to put state on trajectory of high economic growth with the active participation of traders and industrialists.

Addressing the gathering during Sarkar Vyapaar Milni here today, the Chief Minister said that this is an interactive program aimed at the well being of the people especially the traders. However, he bemoaned that earlier the state governments never bothered about holding such programs for the welfare of people. Rather, Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these leaders confined them in the walls of huge palaces and dictated their own decisions to people without bothering about common man.

The Chief Minister exhorted the people of the state to elect the Member of Parliaments (MPs) that perform and not those who remained tightlipped when the interests of the state were robbed. He said that people before casting their vote they must think that where their MP was when Punjab was robbed of its rights adding that the people should deliberate that why the MP was mum when industry of Punjab was ruined and the farmer of the state was agitating against draconian laws. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these leaders who had remained Mum at crucial times of the state and its people don’t deserve their votes and they should be shown the door so that committed and dedicated people are elected to Parliament.

The Chief Minister said that every single penny from the state exchequer is being spent by the Punjab government on the well being of the people. Bhagwant Singh Mann called upon people to ensure victory of the party on all the 13 Lok Sabha seats so that he can effectively combat the discriminatory policies of the Union government. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the hands of AAP needs to strengthen by giving 13-0 to the party for continuing the pace of development adding that these 13 MPs, when elected, will give fillip to the development and progress of the state.

The Chief Minister said that under the visionary leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, AAP has became a national party just because we believe in politics of work. He said that the party does not believe in politics of hatred due to which people are supporting it in a big way and the numbers of MP, MLAs and other elected representatives of party are increasing. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the cavalcade of the AAP will increase in coming days too as people from all sections of society will support the party in ensuing Lok Sabha Polls.

The Chief Minister said that the BJP has made mockery of democracy by undermining all the constitutional values and circumventing the verdict of people. He said that in the states where the verdict of people is against them these people try to topple the governments by purchasing the elected representatives. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this is intolerable as it is a humiliation of the every vote of the people.

The Chief Minister said that two people had ruled the state in last 25 years but none of them had bothered about the well being of the common man. He said that these leaders constructed their palaces and hotels over the debris of the blood of common man. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these leaders were just bothered about their well being due to which they took control of every business in the state to mint money.

The Chief Minister said that as head of the family (state) he is committed for the welfare of every section of the society. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that he acted as a bridge between farmers and Union government to resolve the issues of farmers. He said that it is his basic duty being the Chief Minister of the state and no stone is being left unturned for it.

The Chief Minister said that 829 Aam Aadmi clinics have revolutionized the health care sector in the state. He said that more than 95% of patients visiting these clinics daily recover from their ailments. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that ever since the starting of these clinics have witnessed a footfall of more than one crore patients.

The Chief Minister said that these clinics are acting as a cornerstone in the revamp of the healthcare system in Punjab. He said that 80 types of medicines and around 40 diagnostic tests are being provided free of charge to the patients in these clinics. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these clinics have also helped the government in preparing a database for checking the various diseases prevalent in the state and combating them effectively.

The Chief Minister further said that to check the fatality rate due to road accidents in the state on one hand and to streamline the movement of traffic on the roads of the state on the other, the state government has launched Sadak Surakhya Force. He said that the first of its kind specialized force is acting as a pivotal to save several precious lives that are lost in road accidents daily in Punjab and this force has been entrusted with the task of checking rash driving, streamlining vehicular movement on roads and others to check the road accidents. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that initially 129 vehicles equipped with ultra modern gadgets have been deployed after every 30 kilometres to man the roads and these vehicles will also have a complete medical kit for providing emergency treatment to any person in need.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has opened all the locks that were put by the earlier governments. He said that the state government is meeting every strata of society with open arms to ensure that their well being is ensured by all means. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that his government is committed to give major push to the development of the state and ensure prosperity of its people.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has already introduced several reforms in the power sector. He said that with this step the way has been paved for giving cheap power even to the industrialist and trade sector in the coming times. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this is the need of hour to give boost to the economic prosperity of the state by giving boost to industrial development.
