Implementation of CAA ahead of Lok Sabha polls is BJP’s vote bank politics: Kejriwal
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today criticized the implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, labeling it as “dirty vote bank politics” by the BJP. Kejriwal stated, “People desire the repeal of this law.”
During a press conference, he emphasized that the BJP-led government at the Centre has opened doors for a large number of impoverished minorities from Pakistan and Bangladesh to migrate to India.
According to Kejriwal, there are 35 million minorities in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh, and the BJP aims to utilize public funds to settle poor migrants from these countries by providing them with jobs and housing.
He alleged that the BJP expects to gain electoral advantages as the impoverished minorities migrating to India from neighbouring countries could potentially become its vote bank.
