BJP releases second list of 72 candidates for Lok Sabha polls, Khattar to contest from Karnal
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released the second list of 72 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Wednesday. Some of the prominent candidates include Harsh Malhotra (East Delhi), former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar (Karnal), Rao Inderjit Singh (Gurgaon), former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bomai (Haveri), Pankaja Munde (Beed), Anil Baluni (Garhwal), former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivender Singh Rawat (Haridwar), Tejashwi Surya (Bangalore South), Union Minister Prahlad Joshi (Dharwad), Piyush Goyal (Mumbai North), Nitin Gadkari (Nagpur), Anurag Singh Thakur (Hamirpur), and Shobha Karandlaje (Bangalore North) among others.
The party has not announced any Lok Sabha candidate from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, the two large states of North India. The party had previously released the first list of 195 candidates in 16 states and union territories on March 2.
