Curfew-like restrictions in Mumbai till Dec 17 Police issued an order, know the reason

Mumbai: The police have announced a curfew-like restrictions in Mumbai till January 2 next year. Mumbai Police has clarified that the reports of restrictions in the city on Friday are not part of any new order. This is a regular order that is renewed every 15 days.

In fact, on Friday, the police had issued an order that restrictions will remain in Mumbai city till January 2 in which gathering of more than five people is prohibited. While imposing Section 144, the police had said in the order that rallies and demonstrations will also not be allowed.
On reports of restrictions under Section 144 being imposed in the city, the Mumbai Police said it is an order which is renewed every 15 days and has now been renewed till December 17. Asked whether the order will be issued after December 17, the Mumbai police official said it will be considered later. So far, no such order has been received that the ban should be imposed till January 2.
