After former MP Sushil Rinku, 12 councillors from Jalandhar to join BJP

Jalandhar: More than a dozen councillors from Jalandhar in Punjab will soon join BJP. The councillors are in link with former Jalandhar MP Sushil Rinku and former MLA Sheetal Angural.

Sources have revealed that this decision has been taken by the councilors after a meeting held at a private place outside the city with Rinku and BJP leaders.

Rinku and Angural had left the Aam Aadmi Party and joined the BJP a few days back.

According to the information received, as soon as Rinku and Angural joined BJP, they approached their fellow leaders across the city. After which this decision was taken after the meeting on Saturday.

Most of the councillors joining the BJP are Congress councillors, who have considerable influence in their area that would be beneficial for the saffron party ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
