EC issues notice to AAP leader Atishi over BJP offer remark
New Delhi: The Election Commission has given a notice to AAP leader Atishi on the statement received from the BJP. The Election Commission has issued this notice even after the complaint of the BJP.
According to the commission, they received a complaint from the BJP on April 4. In this complaint, it has been said that Atishi has given a wrong statement about BJP.
Atishi gave a statement on April 2 in which she talked about meeting the BJP. On April 2, Delhi minister Atishi had claimed during a press conference that she had received an offer from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to join the party.
During that time, she had said, “I was approached by my close friends on behalf of the BJP. I was told to join the BJP or else within a month the Enforcement Directorate (ED) will raid my house and I will be arrested. BJP intends to arrest me, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Raghav Chadha and Durgesh Pathak within the next two months.”
