Jalandhar Commissionerate Police seizes largest ever drug cache, busts international syndicate

Jalandhar: In a major operation, the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has successfully seized the largest-ever drug cache in the city’s history, dealing a significant blow to an international drug syndicate.

A staggering 48 kg of heroin was intercepted by the authorities, with three members of the drug syndicate apprehended during the operation.

The syndicate’s nefarious activities span across borders, with connections to Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, Pakistan, and Canada. Additionally, a domestic network stretching across two states, Jammu & Kashmir and Gujarat, has been uncovered.

In addition to the massive drug seizure, authorities confiscated 21 lakhs rupees in illicit funds, along with a cash counting machine and three high-end vehicles believed to be used in the syndicate’s operations.

This development marks a significant victory in the fight against drug trafficking, highlighting the dedication and effectiveness of law enforcement agencies in combating transnational crime.
