Mother, wife, 3 children shot dead, commits suicide in UP

Sitapur: A man allegedly killed his mother, wife and three children and then committed suicide by shooting themselves in a village in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur district in the wee hours today, police said.

Anurag Singh (45), a resident of Palhapur village, shot dead his mother Savitri Singh (62), wife Priyanka (40), two daughters and a son.

The children ranged in age from 12 to eight years. The accused also shot himself after the incident.

Anurag’s mental condition was not good. The bodies are being sent for postmortem.
