Jagmohan Kang quits AAP in Punjab, joins Congress

Chandigarh: Former minister Jagmohan Singh Kang and his son Yadvinder Singh Kang, who joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) after bidding farewell to the Congress due to not receiving a ticket from Kharar in the 2022 assembly elections, have now left the AAP and returned to the Congress.

They joined the Congress in the presence of party national president Mallikarjun Kharge in Delhi. Party’s Punjab in-charge Devendra Yadav was also present on the occasion.

This is being considered a set back to AAP ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

Kang holds considerable influence in the Kharar assembly constituency. However, AAP did not entrust him with significant responsibility.
