Kejriwal urges Supreme Court to extend interim bail citing national health
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has urged the Supreme Court to extend his interim bail by seven more days on health grounds in a money laundering case related to an alleged excise policy scam.
On May 10, the Supreme Court had granted 21-day interim bail to Kejriwal to campaign in view of the Lok Sabha elections.
In his latest petition, the Chief Minister has sought extension of his interim bail plea by another seven days on health grounds. The petition also states that he has lost seven kilograms of weight.
The plea said the chief minister needs to undergo some medical examination and hence the interim bail expiry on June 1 be extended.
