Counting underway in Patiala: Congress candidate Dharamvir Singh leading; BJP, AAP in competition

Chandigarh: In Patiala, Congress candidate Dharamvira Gandhi is leading with 1,29,330 votes. Preneet Kaur of BJP got 123314 second and Dr. Balbir Singh of Aam Aadmi Party got 123751 votes.

There are 8 assembly seats under this seat. These include Patiala Urban, Patiala Rural, Ghanaur, Sanaur, Nabha, Samana, Shutrana and Rajpura assembly constituencies.

Six counting centres have been set up for counting of votes in which 580 employees have been deployed. Around 500 security personnel have been deployed to prevent any disturbance.
