Canadian PM Trudeau congratulates Modi on his victory

Toronto: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has congratulated his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on his election victory in the Lok Sabha elections.

“Congratulations to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his election victory,” he said.

Relations between the two countries have been under strain after the killing of pro-Khalistan activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
