After FIR against CISF constable gets offer of legal assistance
Chandigarh: A case has been registered against CISF woman constable Kulwinder Kaur at the Airport police station in Mohali for slapping MP and actress Kangana Ranaut from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. She has been booked under IPC sections 323 (assault) and 341 (obstructing the way).
Following this, many organizations have extended support to the woman officer, with some offering her monetary and legal help in case she is arrested or dismissed from service.
Kulwinder Kaur will not be arrested because both sections are bailable offenses. She will receive bail from the police station itself. The accused, Kulwinder Kaur, is currently in the custody of the CISF, and the police are investigating the case.
Several farmer organizations from Punjab are gathering in Mohali tomorrow to demand justice for Kulwinder Kaur. They will convene at Gurdwara Amb Sahib. On Friday, they met Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav and demanded that the case against the jawan be quashed.
However, the case has not yet been dismissed. In this situation, the Mohali Police will also review the security of the gathering today.
