Girl on her way to office murdered in broad daylight with sword in Mohali

Chandigarh: The girl, who was on her way to her office in Phase-5 here this morning, was surrounded by a masked youth on the way and attacked with a sword and brutally murdered.

The youth seriously injured the girl by hitting her several times with swords in the middle of the road and fled leaving half of the dead.

The police were informed about the commuters. Later, the girl was rushed to government hospital phase-6, where she died during treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Baljinder Kaur (26). The entire incident was caught on CCTV camera. The police have launched an investigation into the matter.

The attacker is on the run. Police are examining the footage of CCTV cameras.
