CISF constable Kulwinder was angry with Kangana’s statements, CM Mann reacts over slapping incident

Chandigarh: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has reacted on the incident involving Kangana Ranaut, MP of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, being slapped by CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur.

He said that Kulwinder was angry about Kangana’s previous statements, which led to the slap. However, he said that this action was inappropriate, adding that Kangana should have been more considerate in her statements, especially now that she is an MP.

Mann criticized Kangana for labeling all of Punjab as terrorists, calling it completely wrong. He pointed out that Punjabi soldiers are the ones protecting the country’s borders and highlighted Punjab’s significant contribution to India’s independence and food security.

During the martyrdom day of Guru Arjun Dev Ji, Mann and his wife, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, paid obeisance at Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan Sohana in Mohali. The Gurdwara Sahib’s management committee presented them with a siropa.

Regarding the recent elections, Mann noted, “We received 35.20 lakh votes, while Congress got 35.50 lakh votes. Our performance has improved since the last election. In 2019, we won one seat with a seven percent vote share, but now we have won three seats. Sangrur is now our stronghold. The Hoshiarpur seat, traditionally held by the BJP, has also come to us. We will address any shortcomings.”

He also said that BJP did not secure a full majority and was reduced to 240 seats. Many prominent BJP leaders were defeated.
