PM Modi and Trudeau will not have bilateral talks at G7 Summit

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday left for Italy to attend the G7 Summit. The Prime Minister is attending it for the fifth time and will be one of the senior-most leaders at the summit.

While Prime Minister Modi is expected to pay a courtesy call on Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, no bilateral meeting is planned with him.

Prime Minister Modi’s bilateral experiences with Trudeau have been disappointing. The Canadian Prime Minister is not ready to talk about the issue of growing Khalistani terrorism in India. India is unhappy with Justin Trudeau’s antics.

Canada has alleged that the Modi government was behind the killing of Bhindranwale Tiger Force terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar but has not yet presented evidence.
